SC Adopt a Stream Launches in Greer

Sitting by stream to promote adopt a stream program

The City of Greer Stormwater Department is partnering with South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) and Clemson University Center for Watershed Excellence to bring the SC Adopt a Stream (SC AAS) program to the City!

This program creates a network of watershed stewardship, engagement, and education through involvement. Certified volunteers will be able to check out stream testing kits from City staff and monitor waterways for various parameters.

The City of Greer is home to some of the most beautiful streams, rivers, and watersheds in the state, and we are committed to doing our part to protect these natural resources. Citizen volunteers will play an important role in monitoring and tracking water quality within the City limits.

For more information check out the SC AAS homepage.
