Business Licenses
Every person engaged or intending to engage in any calling, business, occupation or profession within the city limits of the City of Greer, SC, is required to pay an annual license fee and obtain a business license. License fees are based upon the NAICS code of the business and the gross income earned within the city limits of the City of Greer. The required fee shall be paid annually on or before the 30th of April. The License Inspector shall levy and collect a late penalty for each month and portion thereof after the due date until the license has been paid.

NON-RESIDENT RATES
All minimum fees and rates scheduled above shall be doubled for non-residents and itinerants having no fixed principal place of business within the city limits of the City of Greer.

Dog Licenses
Any person residing within the city limits of the City of Greer owning a dog is REQUIRED to obtain a license for each dog. Veterinary proof of rabies vaccination is required at the time of licensure. Dogs that have been spayed or neutered will incur a fee of $5.00 for a LIFETIME license tag. All other dogs will incur a fee of $30.00, and they are required to obtain a license each year on or before the 31st of December.

Yard Sale Permits
Any person residing within the city limits of the City of Greer interested in having a yard sale at their residence must first obtain a permit. Each permit allows the resident two days to conduct a yard sale, either Thursday and Friday or Friday and Saturday. All yard sales are prohibited on Sundays. The fee for a yard sale permit is $2.00. Senior citizens can obtain a permit for no charge.
