Background
We believe our Police Department is one of the finest law enforcement agencies in the Country. In the past several years, the Greer Police Department became the 420th agency to receive International Accreditation as well as receiving state and local awards for excellence and innovation.
The Greer Police Department has been awarded numerous federal and state grants that have created programs now considered to be benchmarks in law enforcement technological and programmatic advancement. Our " Targeting the Aggressive Driver" and "Boot Camp" for suspended middle school students have received national attention. Other grants have funded our very popular K9 Unit, Narcotics Section and Community Outreach Program. In addition, the Department is actively involved in the community with such projects as " Cops for Tots" that provides Christmas toys for underprivileged children.
The men and women of the Greer Police Department are proud to serve the citizens of Greer, South Carolina and desire to reflect our professionalism and dedication to duty.
