ANIMAL cONTROL


In 2004 Animal Control Officer Emory Gault answered 1,352 calls for service and issued 336 citations. Animal Control has taken in 428 animals, finding homes for more than half of them. Officer Gault also insures the medical needs of rescued animals that are taken in are met and prosecutes those owners who neglect or harm these animals. 

Animal Information for the City of Greer

- All dogs within city limits must be on a leash held by a person.
- No dog shall be licensed by the city unless and until adequate proof is furnished showing the dog has been vaccinated against rabies and vaccination is current.

Fee:$5.00 for each and every sterile animal. This is a lifetime license.

Fee:$30.00 for each and every fertile animal. This is a annual fee that is due in the month of December.
