Residential leaf collection scheduled
November 9 through February 12

The City of Greer will begin leaf collection on November 9 at city residences. Collection will continue on a scheduled basis through February 12, 2010. Collection will be by area (see below for map and collection dates for each area).

Loose leaves may be placed at the curb of the street for pick up during scheduled weeks. Do not put branches, bushes, stones, bricks, concrete, or any other objects other then loose leaves in the piles to be collected.  Because objects mixed with leaves may damage collection equipment, such leaf piles will not be collected.

The Department of Public Services asks that any limbs to be collected be no longer than six feet and no thicker than six inches in diameter. Grass clippings must be bagged and placed along the curb (not in the street) adjacent to the refuse cart.  Please note that the city does not collect sod, stones, blocks, bricks, concrete, or stumps.

To simplify the separation process, yard waste carts may be purchased at City Hall at the cost of $55 per cart.  Also, bagged leaves will be collected at any time of the year.
