The City of Greer Fire Department’s Citizens Fire Academy
is a free eight week course designed to introduce our citizens to the functions and daily operations of the City of Greer Fire Department.  The academy provides both classroom and hands-on training, offering a fun and safe behind-the-scenes look at what is means to be a fire fighter.  Participates will get the opportunity to tour The City’s fire stations and dispatch center, meet its firefighters and 911 personnel.  During the course, participants will have a chance to wear personal protective equipment, extinguish a fire and participate on a ride-along, as well as learn CPR and home fire safety tips from professional fire fighters.

Class sessions will be held on Monday evenings from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at The City of Greer Fire Department Station 1 Headquarters at 103 W Poinsett St with the exception of a couple Saturday sessions held at Station 2, our training facility, located at 1985 Hood Rd.  Space is limited so please apply today!  Classes start Sept 25, 2017.
