Summer Camp Counselor
(9 positions available)

The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for nine Summer Camp Counselors in the Parks and Recreation Department. Responsibilities include: Overseeing and planning activities for youth, ages 6-15 years of age; Staff will be responsible for organizing and implementing games and themed activities related to the camp. The staff may be individually responsible for small groups of youth or involved in large group activities.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and attending or graduated from high school. Must be certified in CPR and first aid (classes may be offered). Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Minimum salary: $7.50 hour
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, vary between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Summer Camp dates: June 7 – August 13 (closed week of July 5)

Volunteer Firefighters

The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for Volunteer Firefighters. The job duties include assisting firefighters in responding to fire and rescue calls. Reports to Volunteer Fire Captain.
Job requirements include a High School diploma or GED and at least 18 years old, able to pass annual physical and attend mandatory training classes. Must possess a valid SC drivers’ license.
Hours of Work: Varies dependent upon needs and volunteer’s availability.
Salary: Volunteer; minimal compensation for response to fire calls; once certified, fill-in shift coverage compensated at minimum wage
