Where is the Complex located?
All spaces are located in or adjacent to Greer City Hall, which is located at 301 East Poinsett Street. Dedicated in the fall of 2008, the facility was constructed with public space in mind, so the entire second floor of the three-floor building is dedicated to event / meeting halls, ample reception space with a verandah, and a catering kitchen. The event / meeting halls overlook the 12-acre City Park's grand fountain and waterfall fountain. Additional park facilities are easily accessible by sidewalks.
What facilities are available for rental?
Whether you are planning a full wedding ceremony and reception or simply want to host a small business meeting or birthday party, you will find the perfect location at Greer City Hall Complex. Click here to view facilities available.
What type of events can be held at the Complex?
Quite simply, there is no event that the city has not been able to accommodate. Families will enjoy hosting birthday parties in the picnic shelter with ample space for games and fun. Brides may choose the City Park Amphitheater for their wedding, with a reception in the open events hall. Businesses and organizations may desire a small conference room for a day-long retreat. The city reserves the right to decline any request based on community standards or security concerns.
How large are the event / meeting halls?
Each of the three halls offers 1,500 square feet of space and may be combined into two or three halls to a maximum of 4,500 square feet. Extendable, soundproofed baffles ensure privacy for your event.
What A/V capabilities are available at the Complex?
You'll find state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment throughout the Complex. The lobby areas offer LCD televisions with cable, while each event / meeting room is equipped with a retractable video projector and screen. A high-quality audio system completes the proper ambience for your event. Whether you want to project a spreadsheet from your laptop or a wedding video on three screens simultaneously, you'll be delighted with the result.
Can I rent just one event / meeting hall?
Certainly. Rental rates are deternined by the space you require, the length of time you will use the space, and the day it will be used. Please contact the city Events Coordinators for full rental information.
Do City of Greer residents receive a discount?
Yes. Resident discounts are reflected on the rate sheets for each facility. Please contact the city Events Coordinators for full rental information.
What are the rental rates for each facility?
We think you will find that rental rates at the Complex are quite a bargain compared to similar facilities. Please contact the city Events Coordinators for full rental information.
Does the city offer catering?
Although the city does not operate a catering service, the Complex does includes a catering kitchen to meet your food and beverage needs. If desired, an event coordinator will be happy to assist you with recommendations for local caterers.
What decorating options do I have for an event?
One of the advantages of facilities at the Complex is the ability to turn a simple room into a showplace. Whether your event will be simple or extravagant, please contact an Event Coordinator for assistance.
Who do I contact for more information or to reserve space?
The city's events coordinators welcome your call or e-mail. Feel free to contact Karl Rogozenski (864-968-7004) or Laurie Campbell (864-968-7005) with any questions you may have. They are available during regular City Hall operating hours (weekdays between 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.). One or both of the supervisors are on site for events taking place in event / meeting halls to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
May I tour the facilities to determine if they fit my needs?
Absolutely -- and we recommend that you visit the Complex to see it in person. A web site can only give you so much information and photos and videos just can't do justice to the Complex. Please contact Karl Rogozenski (864) 968-7004 or Laurie Campbell (864) 968-7005 to arrange a tour time that fits your schedule.
