Greer Stingers Football Official Schedules

Youth football is a fall program offered by the City of Greer Parks and Recreation Department for ages 6-13.  Registration begins in June (late registration is offered in July) and the season runs from September through November.  The teams are coached by volunteers who enjoy the game of football and teaching the kids the fundamentals of the game.

Registration and Fees

Once the registration period begins in June, players may register by visiting the Parks and Recreation office located at 446 Pennsylvania Avenue in Greer or by using our online registration process called "Etrak".  Registration for the season is $75 for a city resident and $85 dollars for a non city resident which includes jersey, supplemental insurance, officials fees, trophies, and materials to operate the league.  This fee does not include shoulder pads and a helmet.
NOTE:  Returning players that remain in the same age division may return to the same team.  All other players must be drafted.  Requests are not always guaranteed.  Requesting refunds based on team placement is not an option.  We hope to provide an environment for all of our players to learn and succeed.  We would like thank all of our coaches for bringing together this community through sports.

Weight Restrictions

Please note that Greer Youth Football is weight restricted.  This does not mean your child cannot play football if he or she exceeds the weight limit.  However, for the safety of all players, any child who exceeds the maximum weight for a particular age group will be restricted to playing on the offensive or defensive line. Players must also be available for Greenville County's pre-season weigh in.  Dates and times will be provided to all players.

Physical and Medical Release Forms

Every parent will be given a youth physical football form and a medical release during registration.  These forms are mandatory for each participant and may be returned to the team's coach (before the first practice) or to the Parks and Recreation office when completed. 

Game Locations

Greer Youth Football teams participate in the Greenville County Football League.  Home games are played at Greer City Stadium and away games are played at local Greenville County Parks.

A valid copy of your child's birth certificate must be presented to your coach at the first practice.  This is required for team checkoff.  There will be no exceptions.
