The City of Greer's growth and move to the Municipal Complex, where miles of cable make communication possible, brought a need for expertise in the field of information technology.

Jim Ridgill joined the city staff in 2007, assuming responsiblity for keeping computers and software, city servers, telephones, and all other voice/data systems up to date and running smoothly.
