Public Services Worker 1

The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for a Public Services Worker I in our Public Services Department.
Responsibilities: Various labor duties involving cleaning streets, trimming limbs, cutting grass, and repairing sidewalks, etc. This position will also be responsible for minor repairs in City buildings, picking up trash and debris and cleaning ditches and drains. Will operate variety of equipment and tools.
Job Requirements: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Minimum one (1) year of experience in maintenance, truck, equipment operations or other relevant experience. Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license and able to pass drug screen and criminal/credit background check.
Salary: Minimum salary $24,625 (Grade 101); dependent on experience.
Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, M-F; hours will vary at times due to weather, City festivals, etc.
