Video games added to Freedom Blast
Rolling Video Games, a mobile video game theater, has been added to the entertainment options at Greer Memorial Hospital Freedom Blast on July 2. What is a mobile video game theater? Onew wall of a trailer is filled with widescreen high-definition televisions. The opposite wall is lined by seating that allows as many as16 people to play the same video game — or against each other.
Rolling Video Games offers the newest games from Wii, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 while a "Game Coach" is on hand to assist any players.
"We've had requests to include more activities for tweens and teens at the festival," Events Supervisor Laurie Campbell said. "Adding such inflatable games as joust and a bungee run in addition to Rolling Video Games on Poinsett St. should help provide hours of entertainment for visitors in those age ranges."
Campbell said unlimited timed access to the mobile video game theater will be included in the cost of a $5 wristband for unlimited inflatable fun. A wristband purchase admits the wearer to the inflatables or video game theater from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. The lines to those activities will be cut off at 8:30 p.m. to accommodate those already in line.
