Greer Youth Football

Greer Parks and Recreation fall registration is currently ongoing.  If you would like to sign up please visit our office located at 446 Pennsylvania Avenue, Greer, SC, 29650.  Registration for the fall season will cost 75 dollars per participant.  This fee does not include pad rental.  If you wish to rent pads the cost is 35 dollars.  This Fall we will continue our existing relationship with Greenville County.  This means our teams will play home games at City Stadium and away games at various local Greenville County Parks.  Each parent will be given a youth physical football form and a medical release during sign up.  This medical release and physical is required for each participant.  If you have these forms filled out please submit to your coach or turn into our main office.  We will register teams throughout July and allow late Registration beginning in August. 

Greer Youth Football is weight restricted.  This does not mean your child cannot play through us if they exceed the weight limit.  This means that your child will be restricted to playing on the oline or dline.  In other words no skill position spots are available for children above the maximum weight slot for that particular age group.

• *NOTE.  Returning players that remain in the same age division may return to the same team.  All other players must be drafted.  Requests are not always guaranteed.  Requesting refunds based on team placement is not an option.  We hope to provide an environment for all of our players to learn and succeed.  We would like thank all of our coaches for bringing together this community through sports. 
  
  Important information regarding forms and fees
  
• Your sports physical must be completed and given to your coach at the first practice.  If you do not 
  have a family doctor then try out Doctor's Care on Wade Hampton Blvd for an inexpensive physical. 
• You must have a valid copy of your child's birth certificate to your coach at the first practice.  This is 
  required for team checkoff.  NO EXCEPTIONS
• You must be available for Greenville County't pre-season weigh in.  Dates/Times will be provided shortly.

Over 150 kids from the Greer area participate in our football program. Youths may begin playing at age six (6) and continue until age twelve(12). Teams in the 6-8, 9-10, and 11-12 year old leagues wil all be participating in the Greenville County Football League, which is governed by AYF rules.

Registration begins in July. The games start during the middle of September and continue through the end of November. The teams are coached by volunteers who enjoy the game of football and teaching the kids the fundamentals of the game. This league does have a weight limit.

Fees - $75.00, includes jersey, supplemental insurance, officials fees, trophies, and materials to operate the league.
Equipment Rental - $35.00, includes helmet and shoulder pads that must be returned at the last game.

Greer Termite Championship

Greer's City Stadium is home to our annual postseason 6-7 year old football playoffs.  Every year 8-10 teams from around the county compete for the Greer Termite championship.  If you have a team (that participated in the Greenville County Football League) and would like to participate call Red Watson @ 416-6607.
