City of Greer Parks and Recreation
Operations Center

The Operations Center is the central location for the Parks & Recreation
Administrative offices.  The facility includes offices for the director
of parks and recreation, programmers, athletics supervisors, operations,
and maintenance.  Kid's Planet reservation forms and forms required
to participate in Parks and Recreation activities may be delivered here.


 

Tryon Street Park
and Recreation Center

226 Oakland Avenue
Greer, SC 29650

 This facility is the central location for the Greer Cultural Arts and Tennis Academy offices.
The park features six lighted tennis courts (George Crossland Courts) and a fellowship hall.
The center is available to rent by the public for parties and meetings.


Century Park
& Kids Planet

3605 Brushy Creek Road

Century Park is home to the City of Greer's baseball and softball complex.
The park contains three diamonds, a concessions stand, two bathroom facilities,
and numerous picnic shelters. The park is available to rent by the general public.

Country Club Sports Complex

One of the newest park offering for Greer residents,
the park offers multi-purpose fields as well as
modern baseball/softball fields and facilities for league play.






Horace McKown Center
(formerly Cannon Street Gym)
UNDER RENOVATION

This facility was constructed in 1936 as a WPA project. The former National Guard Armory is now known as The Horace McKown Center. The facility is currently closed due to renovations as part of the City Park project.




Victor Field & Gym
108 South Line Street
Greer, SC 29651

This gym is the central location for  the department's Summer Adventure Camp,
Senior Programs, Creative Advancement After School Programs, basketball and volleyball.
It is adjacent to Victor Field which opened fr play in 2009.





Needmore Center
202 Canteen Avenue
Greer, SC 29650

This neighborhood facility is vibrant with activities for seniors and after school programs.
The Center has undergone extensive renovations, including expansion and installation
of a computer room, kitchen, and meetings rooms. The Center also includes
playground equipment, a black top basketball court, and a shelter with picnic tables.




Greer City Stadium
601 West Arlington Avenue

Formerly the Greer High School stadium, this facility is now home
to the City of Greer's youth football, cheerleading, and soccer programs.
With seating for 3,000 spectators, the venue has hosted
a professional soccer team, political debates, and concerts.




Stevens Field

Located on S.C. Highway 101 South, Stevens Field has a storied history
as a baseball stadium. Now home to CGRA, American Legion baseball games,
and youth soccer matches, the stadium will have an even brighter future
as it undergoes extensive renovation to become one of the finest youth baseball facilities
in the Upstate. Construction was completed and opened for play in May 2009.




Suber Road Soccer Complex

Another of Greer's newest recreation facilities,
the complex offers multiple fields for league soccer play.





Turner Park
10 Virginia Avenue
Greer, SC 29651

This recently renovated facility includes
two lighted baseball/softball diamonds with bleacher seating.




Veteran's Park
15th Street
Greer, SC 29651

This park, located on S.C. Highway 101 South just north of Stevens Field,
offers a lighted walking path, a gazebo, a freshly planted and landscaped lawn area,
retired military equipment, and a monument honoring the men and women
who have served their country in the United States Armed Forces.





Neighborhood Parks

The Recreation Department operates six neighborhood parks
enjoyed by citizens of all ages. Most of these parks contain playground equipment,
picnic tables and shelters and basketball courts.
