Public hearing on redistricting set for Tuesday
A public hearing is planned for Tuesday's Greer City Council meeting, allowing the public to present its thoughts on the four possible maps presented to council on November 8.
The public hearing begins at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers (Hall A) at Greer City Hall.
Mayor Rick Danner and councilmen Wayne Griffin and Wryley Bettis formed an ad hoc committee that visited the Office of Research and Statistics for the South Carolina Budget and Control Board in Columbia to examine ways to bring the city's six districts back into balance following growth over the last decade.
