Puppy training offered at Needmore Center

They're cute, fuzzy, and playful.  But puppies can also be a handful for life if not provided the proper training.  The City of Greer and All About K9 Training are making that training possible.

Beginning September 1, training classes will be held Thursdays from 7-8 p.m. at the Needmore Recreaion Center located at 202 Canteen Ave. in Greer.  Puppies must be pre-registered for the classes and be between 8 and 20 weeks old.

All About K9 Training's Matt Snyder said early socialization is the key to developing a well-balanced dog and the training experience establishes a strong bond between the puppies and their owners.  Classes will include sessions on house training, crate training, bite inhibition, collar and leash basics, and problem solving.  Any additional concerns raised by owners will also be addressed.

Registration forms may be picked up at the City of Greer Operations Center located at 446 Pennsylvania Ave. or downloaded at the link below.

Dogs older than 20 weeks may be accommodated at separate training classes.  Call Katie Buck at 416-6606 for more information on any of the training sessions.
