Spring sports registration is underway
The athletics division of the City of Greer Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for spring sports in both youth and adult leagues.

Registration is open to city residents only until January 9. All registrations will be accepted January 9-31.

Spring youth sports include baseball, soccer, and girls softball. The registration fee for baseball and softball is $75 for city residents and $85 for non-residents. The fee for the soccer league is $70 for residents and $80 for non-residents.

Spring adult sports include three divisions of softball (men’s open A, men’s open B, and co-ed) as well as basektball. All adult sports are registered by team with a $150 fee.

Registration may be done in person at the City of Greer Parks and Recreation Department located at 446 Pennsylvania Ave. or online. An existing or new online registration is required for the latter option.  Please visit the individual sport web page in the Parks and Recreation Department pages for more information.

Those seeking a discount for youth leagues may be interested in Registration Day at Dick's Sporting Goods from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on January 21. The first eight families to purchase an item from the store at the Shoppes at Greenridge on Woodruff Rd. in Greenville will each receive one free registration.

Any questions may be addressed to athletics supervisor Cory Holtzclaw at 416-0105 or athletics coordinator Justin Miller at 848-2192.
