City of Greer administrator Ed Driggers was installed as president of the South Carolina City and County Management Association during its summer meeting July 16 in Myrtle Beach.
Driggers, who has served as city administrator for the City of Greer since 2000 following four years in that role with the City of Chester, replaces Richland County Administrator Milton Pope as the association’s president. He has been a member of the association for 15 years and is entering his fourth year as a board member.
“As a member of SCCCMA throughout my career in municipal government, I recognize what a valuable asset it is to municipal and county staff members,” Driggers said. “I look forward to working with SCCCMA staff and board members over the next year to offer valuable programming that addresses both the challenges and opportunities facing my colleagues.”

City of Greer Stormwater Engineer Lillian Hanley is serving as president of the South Carolina Association of Stormwater Managers for the current membership year.
SCASM offers training about stormwater management policies and best practices, as well as a forum for members to share ideas and stay current on state and federal laws and regulations.
“The ability to network and exchange knowledge about stormwater issues is so important to SCASM members,” Hanley said. “It’s rewarding to have the opportunity to serve an organization that plays a tangible role in the day-to-day work of stormwater professionals across the state. This has been a very busy draft permit year.”
