Freedom Blast @Greer City Park

June 27, 2015

Held the Saturday before Independence Day, Freedom Blast is the City of Greer’s annual celebration of the freedoms enjoyed in the United States and the men and women who have made those freedoms possible. It annually draws more than 10,000 guests to Greer City Park for an evening of enjoyable patriotic events.

The 2015 festival marks the seventh year the city has hosted the event with music, food, kids activities and crafts, and one of the largest fireworks displays in South Carolina. At the heart of the festival are displays by the S.C. Army National Guard, Disabled American Veterans, and many other organizations that bring together civilians of all ages and those who have served and who currently serve our country.

An annual Salute to the Military is a highlight of the evening with special speakers and performers, as well as a Veterans Walk that allows the crowd to say “thank you” to multiple generations of veterans.
