The Greer Police Department's Traffic Team is a multi-faceted unit whose primary goal is to promote safe driving through education, enforcement, and engineering. The team is a three officer unit headed by Sgt. Randle Ballenger.

All officers of this unit have received specialized training from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in collision investigation and reconstruction. The Traffic Team analyzes statistics and monitors collisions to identify specific problem areas and then conducts enforcement in those areas to enhance public safety and reduce collisions.

The Greer Police Department strongly embraces working with the community and continuously strives to provide quality police services. If you have any non-emergency traffic concerns, please call  (864) 848-2151 and leave a message with Dispatch for an officer to contact you.
