The City of Greer takes a few minutes following the main concert to remind everyone why "Freedom" is in the name of the event.

The annual Salute to the Armed Forces preceeds the fireworks display and is an original program on the Main Stage designed to help all in attendance remember that freedom is not free.

In addition to honoring current members of the military, the salute remembers and recognizes veterans in attendance at Greer Memorial Hospital Freedom Blast.
