Initially, all businesses must be approved through the City of Greer's Planning and Zoning Department. Applications are available at our Building and Development Standards Department or you may download applications below.

Information needed for the applications includes the address and tax map number of the business location and the property owner’s name and phone number.  Tax map numbers may be found through the Greenville County  or Spartanburg County Assessor’s office.

Home-based businesses should complete and submit the Zoning Permit for Home Occupation application.  Commercial businesses should complete and submit the Certificate of Zoning Compliance Application.

Zoning approval must be granted before continuing.  Please allow 2-5 days for processing.
