Three decades ago, the Greer Police Department started the Cops for Tots Program as a way to help a small number of struggling families at Christmas. The program was established to provide gifts for children who otherwise would have no gifts to open on Christmas Day. Since that time, the program has grown exponentially and now helps hundreds of local children each December.
