South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster signed a bill in September to allow all voters in the fall to cast absentee ballots due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The bill is similar to what was signed into law for the June primaries, allowing every registered voter in the state to vote absentee.
The Tryon Center at 226 Oakland Ave. will be open from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during the absentee voting period for Greenville County voters only. Additional satellite precincts are available in Simpsonville, Travelers Rest and Greenville.
Spartanburg County voters may cast in-person absentee ballots at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium located at 385 N. Church St. in Spartanburg.
Questions about absentee voting may be addressed to the Greenville County Elections Office at (864) 467-7250 or the Spartanburg County Elections Office at (864) 596-2549.
