Join us for an Adventure with the Citizen's Fire Academy

About the Program

The City of Greer Citizen's Fire Academy is a free eight-week course designed to introduce our citizens to the functions and daily operations of the City of Greer Fire Department. The academy provides both classroom sessions and hands-on activities, offering a fun and safe behind-the-scenes look at what it means to be a firefighter. Participants will get the opportunity to tour The City’s fire stations and dispatch center, meet its firefighters and 911 personnel. During the course, participants will have a chance to wear personal protective equipment, extinguish a fire, and participate on a ride-along, as well as learn CPR and home fire safety tips from professional firefighters.

The City of Greer Citizen's Fire Academy is just for information and fun!

And NOT a job training course to get certified to be a firefighter.
