INCIDENT RESPONSES:

The Fire Department responds to a wide variety of emergency and non-emergency calls and is an all hazards response agency.

Training
All personnel are trained to a minimum of Firefighter II and EMT. We have several personnel who are trained to the paramedic level.

Medical First Responder
The City of Greer Fire Department's medical personnel respond to any report of a medical emergency within the Department's 25-square-mile service area.

Apparatus
The City of Greer Fire Department has various types of fire apparatus.

Stations
The City of Greer Fire Department has 3 stand alone stations and a shared use station with Taylors Fire Department.

Battalions

The City of Greer Fire Department maintains three battalions with eighteen personnel per battalion (shift). These eighteen personnel operate five companies. Each shift is overseen by a Battalion Chief. The shifts staff 4 Engine Companies and 1 Ladder Company. Each company consists of a Captain or Lieutenant, Engineer and 1 or 2 firefighters.  The department operates 1 ALS (Advanced Life Support) QRV (Quick Response Vehicle) 7 days a week from 7:45 am to 7:45 pm.
