Although a permit is no longer required for a resident of the City of Greer to hold a yard sale at his or her residence, the ordinance still does require notification to be provided to Greer City Hall in advance of the date and time of the sale. 

• A maximum of 12 yard sales may be held at any residence during any calendar year. 

• Residents may conduct a yard sale over a two-day period (either Thursday and Friday or Friday and Saturday). 

• Yard sales may not be held on Sundays in the City of Greer.

• Yard sales may not be held on commercial property.  All yard sales must be held on residentially zoned property.
