Loose Leaf Collection

The City of Greer Public Services Department collects loose leaf piles curb side during the fall and winter. Crews will schedule collection three times from mid-November through mid-February.

For questions please contact the Public Services Department at (864) 848-2182 or (864) 848-2184.

How to Make Sure Your Leaves Get Collected

Pile leaves at the curb on the first morning of your scheduled collection date. Crews will not repeat any portion of the route until the next collection period.

Make sure the piles contain only leaves. Other items can damage our equipment and piles with additional objects will not be collected.

Tips for Quick and Easy Collection

Please observe the following to make sure that your loose leaf piles are collected:

  • Have loose leaf piles at the curb on the first morning of the scheduled collection date in your area. You may always add to a pile until leaves are collected at your home, but city trucks cannot repeat any portion of their area routes.

  • Make sure the leaf piles contain only leaves. Sticks, twigs, brush, rocks, and household garbage mixed with the leaves can easily damage leaf collection equipment. Leaf piles found to contain foreign objects may not be collected.

  • Be aware that holidays during the schedule may affect the duration of loose leaf collection in any given area. These dates have been accounted for in the collection schedule, including extended collection dates for affected routes.
