The Animal Control division of the Greer Police Department is responsible for enforcing legal ordinances and laws governing animals in the City.

The City of Greer Fire Department’s mission is to be committed to the development and delivery of emergency services to the highest professional level with an emphasis on results.
The City of Greer's Code Enforcement Division performs a variety of inspections on public, commercial, and private property and conducts follow-up inspections, as necessary. They inspect property for nuisances to include tall grass, trash, debris, and unsanitary, unhealthy and unsafe conditions.

The Greer Police Department adheres to the belief that "Policing is a Partnership" and strives to create a team atmosphere between the department and the community.
Recognizing that recycling is an investment in the future, the City of Greer offers a Convenience Center for residents to recycle appropriate materials.
The Stormwater Management Program staff works with other City departments and government agencies to protect our waterways from storm water pollutants that may be generated by construction sites, industrial emissions, or other means. Staff members also respond to citizen concerns about drainage.

The City contracts with Meridian Waste to collect garbage curbside once per week from every city residence on an arranged schedule Monday through Friday.
