Greer Goes Global International Festival
On Saturday, Greer will host a vibrant, colorful celebration of the cultures from around the world that make up our diverse community. The Greer Goes Global International Festival at City Park will feature 22 countries, 24 market vendors, a sports zone, three entertainment areas, the annual parade of nations, and more! Spring Cleaning Day
Before you take that international tour, stop by the City of Greer’s Convenience Center to safely clear out some clutter. You can drop off unwanted aerosols, pesticides, prescription medication, documents to be shredded, and more at the annual Spring Cleaning Day event. To learn more about what’s accepted, click here.
Greer150: Greer's Textile Era
Greer’s sesquicentennial celebration continues on Saturday with a look back at the city’s textile era. Step back in time with the Greer Heritage Museum to learn about this important chapter of the city’s history from inside the Greer Mill -- which is about to begin a new chapter of its own! Sidewalk Maintenance
Work is ramping up on the sidewalks along Pelham Street near downtown. Last week, our Public Services team prepped several sections between Carey Avenue and Snow Street. This week’s work will include pouring new concrete. Be on the lookout for signage, caution tape, and cones marking the work zones.
Hard Hat Tour of the Sports & Events Center
Greer City Council sported hard hats and safety vests last week for a behind-the-scenes tour of the biggest ForGreer project. A team from Harper General Contractors gave Council a brief update on Sports & Events Center construction timeline before showing how the project renderings are coming to life on the site. Council got to see the progress on the gym, wrestling room, event space and more.
Greer Alive!
Greer Alive returned to City Park on Friday with local food trucks and entertainment from Big Radio. Folks of all ages enjoyed the beautiful weather and environment as we kicked off a season of fun outdoor events in Greer!
