The City of Greer and Prisma Health have announced a ten-year, $3 million naming rights partnership for the city's new sports and events center. The 200,000 square-foot facility will be called the Prisma Health Performance Center.
Prisma Health Greer Memorial Hospital CEO Todd Walker joined Greer Mayor Rick Danner in making the announcement inside the facility which is on track to open in early 2027.
Currently under construction at 1529 S. Highway 14 in Greer, the Prisma Health Performance Center will have amenities including nine basketball courts which convert to 18 volleyball courts, a fitness center, elevated walking track, dedicated wrestling room, and a cafe. The center will host youth and adult sports, recreation programming for people of all ages, and community events.
The center will also house Prisma Health orthopedic and rehabilitation services, expanding access to specialized care while complementing the facility's amenities and local programming.
"Prisma Health has cared for generations of Greer families and has repeatedly invested to expand medical services to meet the needs of our growing community," said Greer Mayor Rick Danner. "With this new multi-year partnership, Prisma Health is coming alongside the City of Greer to support a facility that will bring people together, create new opportunities for wellness and recreation, and serve as a point of pride in our community."
