Today, we want to take the time to honor a fallen Greer police officer, Willis “Zonk” Foster as a part of National Police Week. Zonk was a night patrol officer back when Greer was battling illegal liquor operations. He was shot on July 2, 1904 after witnessing suspicious activity during a shift. We want to thank him for his service as well as all Greer Police officers and employees. Thank you for what you do!
